Hi, few days ago my feed widget started giving out this error:

Sorry, some part of this feed is currently unavailable or does not exist anymore. The detailed error is
WP HTTP Error: cURL error 28: Connection timeout after 10001 ms
    Feed has no items.

I’ve tested the feed manually, nothing weird happens, and other parser sites are able to parse it fine. How can I further analyze what is happening here, since it started erroring out without any particular reason. Nothing has changed in url or feed logic, I did nothing in the plugin itself so don’t know what to try.

WP 6.2.2, Feedzy 4.2.4 so all latest versions.

Even though the RSS feed I’m using should not have any limitations, is it possible that my website’s server got blocked so its not able to connect? How can I test this through Feedzy, I’d like to get a more descriptive log to understand.

I’m using RSS as a shortcode via Content No Cache plugin since I’m just displaying the feed on my homepage, not importing posts or anything. However if I try to enter the valid feed URL on Feedzy to start importing, then hit preview, its already timing out. I’ve tested another url and it works fine – but again I would like to see a less generic error so I can know what needs fixing.

    e.g. of shortcode: feedzy-rss feeds=url max=5 meta=”date” thumb=no size=0 refresh=”1_hours”

    Thank you!

    Hi @goldcrest,

Thank you for using Feedzy, and I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you encountered.

To make sure the plugin can process the source you are using, you can check it on this website.

Regarding the cURL error, this is server related. There isn’t something that can be done from the plugin side about it, unfortunately. You can try following the steps in this article, and also ask your hosting provider for help if needed to update some versions.

    I hope this will help.
