    Hi,

    Google Merchant account is giving me this “feed Issue”, with issue message:

    Feed file is in a format that we don’t support: HTML

    I’ve looked on the internet and it says this can be a problem because:

    “that url seems to be returning html — which is not a supported feed format.
    generally, this indicates issues related to hosting or the plugin.”

    I am using wordpress theme Genesis and Woocommerce plugin. Can you give me any pointers on how to solve this?

    Hi Dave,

    Thanks for the feed. We have uploaded your Google Shopping feed into our merchant center to test if it would show the same error message about HTML. It did not, it accepted the feed just fine.

    Did you not accidentally add it as a supplemental feed? (which is, for example meant for local inventory feeds). Make sure you add the feed in Google’s Merchant center as a primary feed.

    Hi Eva,

    This is my first time using merchant Center and your plugin, so I checked and I did not put in as a supplemental feed.

    Any other reason the error message would show up with my merchant center account?

    Hi Dave,

    Than did you accidentally put in a wrong URL in Google’s merchant center or is there a space before the https part of the URL?

    We again checked it in our merchant center and Google does accept the feed, or at least it is not returning the HTML warning.

    It does complain about the content of the feed. So just for your information:
