    Hi,

For some reason of recent, my IG feed will remove itself from my plugin on the backend then have to click the button to connect it back to my WP site. Not sure why and there’s been no errors appearing on the site

  • Same here.

Same here. It’s a quick and easy thing to reconnect, but the issue is knowing when it has become disconnected. Plus of course it shouldn’t be doing that!

Can the developers please address this or advise what we as users need to do to prevent this happening.

    Thank you.

    Hey @mattthomas-photography, @ziembatron, @rodeboy,

Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. Could you clarify whether the plugin itself under WordPress > Plugins > Installed Plugins is deactivating/removing itself, or if the connected account under Instagram Feed > Settings is becoming invalid (or removed) and needs to be reconnected?

    Best regards.

The connected account under Instagram Feed > Settings is being removed and needs to be reconnected.

Thanks for getting back to us Joel. For me, it is the connected account is becoming removed and needing to be reconnected. Hopefully you can identify any bug, but if I can help further please do let me know.

Thank you for getting back to me on that. Could you please send us a support request via our website form, found here, including the System Info from the plugin’s Support tab.

This is so that we are able to get some additional context to the issue here as we have yet to get any other report of this. I will then look into this with our team and get back to you in the support requests as well as here as soon as I have further information.

    Many thanks.

    To add context here,

    The new security changes made to our plugin will include completely clearing all platform-related data if your connection is invalidated for specific reasons;

    1. Removing the Instagram Feed app from your Instagram account settings
    2. Making other security changes to your Instagram account such as a password change
    3. An account connection has been invalid for a long period of time

This will cause the plugin to purge all data as per Facebook and Instagram’s API terms of service. Then an account reconnection would be necessary.

Joel, I have submitted a support request to help identify any issue and look forward to hearing back from you (no acknowledgement email received yet – inbox or junk)

For me it was Instagram Feed > Settings it was disconnecting from

Glad you’ve managed to find a fix and the cause of the issue. I’ll look out for an update and install once released

    Thanks

    Thanks!
