Hello, I am trying to delete my feed and also your plugin from my website. I have followed your instruction below.

    1. “Pinterest for WooCommerce” Installed
    2. Restart the Pinterest onboarding
    3. Go to the Settings tab on “Marketing > Pinterest”
    4. Disable “Enable product sync”
    5. Enable “Erase Plugin Data” and Save
    6. Go to the Connection tab on ?”Marketing > Pinterest”
    7. Disconnect your account by clicking on “Disconnect”
    8. Deactivate and uninstall “Pinterest for WooCommerce”

When i get to Step 8 deactivate and uninstall plugin from woo, it just spins and won’t delete. My IT manager managed to delete via FTP however this has not disconnected the feed from Pinterest and i keep getting error messages from them and they are about to remove my verified status. I have been in contact with them to ask if they could delete the feed on their end and they advised me i had to contact woo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • Hi @deliciousbuds, thanks for your patience.

Typically, the Pinterest feed is removed during the plugin’s uninstall procedure. I suspect a connection issue may have prevented that from happening in your case. Here’s what I recommend:

    • Setup the extension and perform the uninstall procedure to ensure it removes your product feed. You’ll find the steps here (The difference for your case is that you won’t set up the extension after disconnecting, deactivating and deleting it)
    • If the above doesn’t remove the feed, from your Pinterest dashboard, go to Settings > Security and logins > Pinterest for WooCommerce and Revoke Access – check if that removes the product feed.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

I have been on to my hosting people and they have now deleted the plugin for me. However it is still showing on pinterest and i will lose my verification in 6 days if i dint fix it

    Howdy ??

As my colleague mentioned, we expect the feed is removed during the plugin’s uninstall procedure.?Given that the host removed the plugin for you, I suspect that was done either via FTP or the file manager rather than through the WordPress interface. Please get in touch with them and let them know that because of the way it was removed, the plugin deactivation hook didn’t run and remove the data.
