404 on feed links with pretty permalinks without mod_rewrite

  • Polylang URL modification: The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks

    The server is OpenBSD httpd and therefore there is no mod_rewrite. Anyway rewrites are being accomplished by symbolic links, like “en” -> “index.php”. Everything works fine, except that the feed links (e.g. /en/feed/) result in a 404.

    With Polylang and/or pretty permalinks disabled, feed links work as expected.

    Any idea where the problem could be?
