Featuring specific and most viewed embedded videos?

  • 1.)Is there an easy way to create a feature that will allow me to feature a thumbnail of an embedded video in a specific spot on my home page and when a user clicks on it, it will take the person to a page with the full video and commenting system?

    2.) Is there an easy way to create a feature that will automatically display a thumbnail of the most viewed video in a specific spot on my home page and when a user clicks on it, it will take the person to a page with the full video and commenting system?

    No, I just want to embed a video and allow someone to comment on it. Maybe that is what you meant? I basically want to model my site on this: https://www.izzyvideo.com/ where you can click to play the embedded video or click over to the commenting page.

    I want to add the additional feature that will show a small thumbnail in the upper right corner of either the most played video or just one I want to showcase.

    Well there’s a whole bunch of video plugins that you can use to get the main post video sorted, that part looks simple enough.

    You can use a popular post plugin as well to highlight, err the most popular post. But a thumbnail for that might prove a little more tricky… hmmm…

    Well, the reason I want it to be a thumbnail is because the main videos will be 640×380 in the main column and the second column will be smaller and I will only be able to display a thumbnail.

    Where do I find the video plugins you mentioned?
