    Hi!
First let me express my thanks for your fabulous plugin. It features my books so beautifully and clearly. I love it.

I love it so much that I would like to do the same with my other type of products:
    Audios
    Consultations
    Programs
    Services
    Memberships
    Other Products

I thought I could do it by placing these as tags and then using the

[mybooktable tag=”reccomended”] code to generate different stores.

But I got too smart for my own good. LOL. The audio was shown in the bookstore, which is confusing if I keep adding other stuff that is not books.

The problem is that I would have to change the basic setting for my Book Table Page which of course I don’t want to do.

Perhaps if there were several fields that could be used here it would be possible. If I could have more than one Book Table Page, one for books, one for audios and so forth.???

So I’m back to square one.

Is it possible to create different stores with different types of products without them all showing up in the Bookstore?

I may have gotten too ambitious here. But it doesn’t hurt to dream… and ask.

    Thanks again,
    MM

We built the plugin with this kind of use case in mind, but I think you may the first to take it to this extreme use case.

The easiest way to do what you are wanting to accomplish is to change the “books store” to link to just the “books” tag. This way you can have multiple “stores” all within the same plugin. You should be able to set this up by going to “appearance > menus” and adding a menu item called “Book Store” that links to the tag pages for “books” then just repeat those steps for each product type.

In this way you never show the “full store” which is currently called “bookstore.” I guess you could link to the full store and just call it “store” instead of “book store”

Do you mind sharing a link to your site?

WOW! Thanks for your prompt response.

Okay. I’ll read this slowly tomorrow and give it a try. I’m just shock-happy that it can actually be done.

    Hi Thomas,
I’m trying to do this now, but I’m confused.

    1. Where do I get the URL for each tag page?
    2. If I do this, will the stores showcase the books, products etc. in the same way that it’s doing it now, which is gorgeous? Or what will be seen? As I cannot see a “tag” page, I don’t know what will show.
    3. How would I link to a full store, eg. that includes everything, and how would it look?
    4. What do I write in the fields for the settings?

    Addon:

I don’t know how to do the other pages. Do I choose “add book” in the dashboard menu, enter the product as I would a book and then select only the tag I want, such as “books” or “audios”, and that would do… what? I’ cant make the mental leap to what would come out as when I tried it the first time, the audio showed up in the “books” store. I think that’s what’s confusing me. Ugghrr.

Thanks for your attention and patience. LOL.

It’s working! Thanks! Check the URL in a little while to see how it looks.

    You rock!

Good job on getting it working.

Would you be willing to write us a review here on the WordPress repository?

You got it ’cause you deserve it. Go check. I gave you a 5 star rating!

I’ve got all the sections done and added to the menu beautifully.

Can I get even more greedy? I want the section to display one item at the time, but I’d love that the central page, which is now a page called “Store” could display ALL sections. You know, like that one-item-at-a-time slider, but for each of the sections. Right now it’s placing only ONE slider with all categories mixed in, in no order (except books first, which I love).

I’d like to have one slider for each section going down, but I could not find a way to set the store page differently than the others.

If this is possible, let me know how.

Otherwise, I still say HURRAH! for your plugin and for your customer service. You ROCK!

    Thanks for the review! ??

I’m not sure if I understand your question but I suspect you can accomplish what you are wanting to do with text widgets in the sidebar.

    Thread Starter mariamar

    (@mariamar)

Hi, Thomas. No. I don’t have a sidebar and don’t want widgets (unless it can be placed in the menu).

What I want is that the main store now features the different tags of products in different sections (Sliders) instead of mixing them all together.

Right now if you see it, it’s a long slide show of everything all mixed up.
    https://dreamalchemist.com/store

I’d like it for each tag (type of product) to be featured in its own section.

    STORE PAGE
Books-slide with all books (Book tag)
    ————–
Audios- slide with all audios (Audio Tag)
    ————
Courses -Slide with all courses (Courses tag)
    ————-
    ETC.

    Am I getting too greedy?LOL.

    Thanks again.
