    Hi,

    1) Checkbox: that would be great to be able to add a checkbox that is requiered to send the message ==> it could be very usefull to match with some RGPD rules. (if checked in the email, the texte of the checkbox is written as : “Accepted” in order to store the response of the visitor (don’t forget to let us easly translate the “accepted”.

    2) CPT: it would be awesome if you able us to select a CPT in which we could store datas from the contact form. Every field could be automaticly created if it doesn’t already exist.

    3) it also could be nice to be able to optionnaly get more informations about the visitor (IP adress, localisation , OS (windows / mac ) , browser, etc.

    4) about adding news fields… ACF is very popular, also to custom frond end with fields. it would be great to be able to “easly” use ACF fields into Contact Form Block. The rules could be to stop using the existing fields of Contact Form Block and to be able to add Custom fields generated by ACF and keep the motor (the logical) of contact form to send email / repatcha etc, using filters for example?

    Hello @zkotito,

    1. Can you explain that part to me again? I didn’t understand exactly what you need. Maybe you can point at an existing contact form with that feature somewhere so that I can understand exactly.

2, 3. My goal with this Contact Form is to have a form you can easily drop in a website and use right away. So it’s not my goal to add too many features. Also, new feature is a call for more features and more settings ?? I prefer to let this to other plugins (which do that already) and compete together. I want the Contact Form Block to remain simple, for most of us.

That said, I want to make it all doable and extensible through the actions and filters. I spend some time adding them and documenting them: https://meowapps.com/contact-form-block-faq-customization/. The phone field was developed in a way to demonstrate how to add a field.

The mcfb_form_sent would allow you to get the information about the visitor and store it. That also the action you should use to create a new Post Type and add the related post.

If you are interested in doing this and would like me to improve or add more actions and filters (if there is something missing), it’s possible. But you could try to create your own little plugin to create a “Submitted Forms” post type, that could be interesting ??

    4. The problem with ACF is that… you need ACF ?? Personally, I am not using on all my websites, in fact, only one. I prefer this plugin to be able to work independently. That said, you are right: a Contact Form that works with ACF could be made, and that would allow the user to create easily a form through ACF. But that’s more easily said than done ??

    Hi !
about the 1rst point: I meant something like this feature
about the last point: Personnaly I would be ok to pay for this plugin ?? (mostly if it ables to use fields created by ACF without the need of ACF installed :p )

Thanks for the link, I’m going to play with =)
