Features/Plugin purchase advice?

  • I’ve just installed UM and started with a first member/profile. I’m trying to determine if I will need a bunch of plugins (with additional cost) to accomplish a few things:

    • Members-only content directory (HoA docs)
    • Private chat, or Group, hopefully without having to install an entire BBS (for Board members only discussions)
    • Voting/survey feature, for logged-in members only

    This is for a pro-bono website I’m putting together for an all-volunteer (non-profit) HoA, so I know they’re going to balk at cost. I’ve paid for hosting and a theme out of my pocket, but don’t want to pay $250/year as well. Any suggestions?
