“Features” in Theme not Working

I’m using a free theme called Wise Business from Site 5. Here’s the demo link and download link. It’s supposed to display a snippet of 3 featured pages on the home page. But instead it displays the entire content of each featured page. It seems to me the theme would define how many characters of the page to display on the home page (like an excerpt) but I can’t find that in the code. I’ve also tried using the “more” tag with no luck.

It seems this function is handled in home.php which you can view here. I noticed that blog posts are limited to showing the first 25 words on the home page. Maybe I could limit the featured pages to 25 words also?? Thanks!
