Featured slider not working and home page edit page link

I have recently updated my wordpress to 3.6 and been doing some work on htaccess to optimise site.

I have found that my home page which is set to static page and is a page containing a wp gallery is not working in a few ways.
1: i can not edit from dashboard, i have images connecting to wrong links and i can not change or delete them.

2. i usually click on view page on the worpress top bar and then edit page to go back to editing, but this ‘edit page’ menu bar is gone from the home page only.

3.( i have this code: .blog .featured-slider {
display: none;
}
)
in custom css because i want the featured slider only on home page.the featured slider is now showing only 1 picture, the slider is not working and the slider dots below are not there.
Please Please Help i am looking at everything and i cant find anything that helps.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL WAS WORKING GREAT till now.
