    Hi,

    Featured Posts has three posts with Featured tag. Customizer “Also display tagged posts outside the Featured Content area” is not checked. However the posts also appear in Recent Posts (underneath it on Homepage, this is separate from Recent Posts widget), and I’d like for them not to. How do I do it?

    Also not exactly sure where to configure the non-widget Recent Posts on Homepage. I’l like for images to appear in those posts too.

    It sounds like you want to do the following:

    1. Keep the featured content area (at the top of the homepage).
    2. Remove the featured posts from the Recent Posts list so they aren’t shown in two places on the homepage.
    3. Display images as well as post titles in the Recent Posts list.

    Have I got all those details right? ??

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    It’s probably right in front of me, however I can’t seem to locate where Recent Posts list is. I don’t see it in Customizer or in editing the Home Page. Hmm.

    You’re welcome! It looks like the Recent Posts list is automatically added to a static page when it is set as the front page — which is why there isn’t an option to choose exactly which posts do or not appear there.

    I think it would be possible to exclude featured posts from that list but this would require custom code. I’ve also checked to see whether it would be possible to pull in an image but that would also require custom code. If this is something you are keen to do, I recommend contacting a developer for help.

    Sorry I can’t point you towards a specific place to make this change but the theme isn’t set up to work this way, as it is.
