    Hello Tomas:

I am searching a new theme for our site, because the one that we currently run does not support latest upgrades of WP, it is no longer supported. Yours are very similar to what we search for.

Our activity is the diffusion of abandoned dogs and cats, since 2012 we have achieved +1000 adoptions for our dogs and cats, thanks mainly to the WP possibilities. We use a post for each animal, so for that the use of thumbnails and post except is a must. The other fundamental feature that we need is the use of ‘featured’ posts that are always displayed first, in order to highlight special cases (lost animals, events) in our web.

In your themes description, there is no mention about the possibility to use this option in the post publishing: apart of consider a post of a category (in or case ‘males-big’, ‘females-small’, ‘puppies’, etc) is there a possibility to consider the post as ‘featured’ for priority display?

Thank you very much in advance and congratulations for your themes, they are amazing!

    Miguel

    Dear Miguel,

unfortunately, my themes do not support featured posts, but you can mark some posts as “sticky“. The sticky posts are displayed at the beginning of the post loop on the latest posts page.

Or you can set a custom order for posts using the Simple Custom Post Order plugin.

    Best regards,

    Dear Tomas:

Thank you very much for your guide on ‘sticky’ post. That was exactly what I was searching for, but I was confused because in the theme we are using (Retina) they are called ‘featured’ but actually they are what the ‘sticky’ description means

    Thank you again
