I haven’t published my website and it’s because I’m having a lot of problems with the theme. I have no idea about coding, so perhaps it’s my fault, but I need some help please!

For starters, the featured posts I have set to my published blog post, but even though I’ve trashed the “hello world” post and each one of the features is set to my first post, they still say “hello world!” – they just don’t show a picture.

The large, highlighted post does the same thing. Just says “hello world!” and there’s no picture, even though it’s set to my own post.

Another problem I’m having is that I added the social media menu to header right, but nothing shows. I tried to place it under all other sections (header left, footer, sidebar, etc) and nothing shows up. I’m at a loss.

Any help, please? I absolutely love this theme, but I need it to work in order to properly launch my website.

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

First of all please remove “Hello world” post from Trash. You should see Trash link at the top of the Posts section (see this screenshot: https://prntscr.com/garzw9)

Then navigate to Appearance → Customize → Front Page → Featured Posts and Appearance → Customize → Front Page → Large / Highlight Post and make sure to select posts which you like to display in “Post 1-3” and “Select Large / Highlight Post” options. Please also make sure you upload a featured image for all your posts.

Thank you so much! The featured posts and highlighted posts are now working!

However, I followed the exact steps for the social media menu, and I still don’t see them. Here’s a link to a screenshot I took: https://image.ibb.co/nDTixQ/socialmedia.png

I still don’t see the social media icons. I’m not sure if it’s because I have a custom logo and site title design a the top, but I also tried with without anything for site identity (logo, just title/tagline, and nothing at all) and the social icons still don’t show.

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
