Featured Posts Grid question

    Please accept my apologies but I can not figure this out. I feel like I have everything configured correctly but it simply won’t display the way I want it to.

    I have four posts all of which are tagged with “featured,” categorized “Featured Episode” and include a featured image.

    Under Ridzain Featured Content options I have the following selected:

    * Location – Below menu/full width
    * Give featured .. box look (checked)
    * Layout – Grid
    * Post Type – post
    * Switch Featured Grid Columns to 4? (checked)
    * Number of posts for grid – 4
    * Number of posts for slider – 0
    * Show Featured Posts Excerpts? (checked)
    * Tag name – featured
    * Show Featured Posts In Blog Feed? (not checked)
    * Check to set Slider to Auto Slide (not checked)

    Thank you in advance for any help that you can offer.

    I went through and deleted several junk plugins that GoDaddy installed by default and for whatever reason it works now.

    Glad its sorted – Could I ask for the list of the plugins deleted so that I can see where the conflict may have been?

    Absolutely.

    I deleted Akismet plus a couple of site builder plugins authored by GoDaddy. I don’t remember the exact names of the GoDaddy plugins, I’m sorry.

    I also updated Jetpack.

    Otherwise I’m running an extremely lean install of the latest version of WordPress. Mostly because I am just getting started with the new site.

    I am using Ridizain Theme on a subdomain, and I am having a problem with the Feature content grid. I created a tag (showcase) to identify the posts that will be displayed as Feature Content and I also added this tag under Ridzain Featured Content Menu (Tag Name). But instead of posts with the tag “showcase”, the grid is showing everything (as a Recent Posts Widget).

    Could you please help me? I do not know what I am doing wrong. Thanks you in advance for your help.

    Hello Wavinemba,

    Could I ask you to first delete the “showcase” tag and leave the field blank then save the settings. Once done exit the customizer and refresh the site – next return to the customizer, enter the tag again, make the other selections and save. Check to see if that resolves the issue.

    Also be sure to select the correct post type from the dropdown menu too – if all else fails then drop me a line via the contact form on the site and I’ll do my best to assist further.
