Featured Posts and more

  • Hello there,

    So I have been able to change a couple of things by looking through the forum, however, there are a few things I still need help with.

    1. How do I get About Me to be in the same row as my featured posts? My featured posts come immediately after my menu. Currently, my about me is in the same(similar )row as my recent posts.

    2. Speaking of recent posts, is there a way to get rid of them completely without having to use a static page? Since setting them in Settings–> reading to 0 is not possible?

    3. How do I get rid of all the other the lines on the front page? I have managed to remove the menu ones and the footer ones. Also if I wanted to change the colour which class am I supposed to use?

    4. Is it possible to change the position and colour of the top menu social item so that it sits in the middle and not left or right?

    5. How do I remove the = that is seen on many titles on the page? I saw this code .block-title span:before,
    .block-title span:after {
    content: none;
    }
    but it is not working for me.
    6. Can the width of the Instagram widget be reduced? I’m finding it a bit too wide

    7. And lastly (for now) can the mail chimp sign up widget be made horizontal instead of rectangular as it is now?

    Here are the answers to your questions:

    1. We’d need to see your website live for that. Please post its URL.

    2. You can’t other than hiding them using CSS. There is an option for that in our Kale Pro.

    3. See 1.

    4. Yes, using CSS, but then you’d lose the top-right menu. And see 1.

    5. See 1.

    6. It probably can but see 1.

    7. Can’t tell you for sure, probably yes, but see 1.

    Hi,

    thank you for the reply.

    My website is not live just yet and I am not sure I through which other way you will be able to see my site.

    If there isn’t any other way I may have to try and figure it out myself.

    Well, in that case, please go to https://www.lyrathemes.com/support/ and open a new support ticket.

    We’re not allowed to provide support for commercial products in www.remarpro.com.

    And yes, it is not impossible to provide CSS that should work in your case, but it is a lot easier if website is accessible.
