This theme looks really awesome and I’m thinking on using it on my travel photography blog. However, I find that the images of the featured posts are being stretched when displayed in a slider. I can adjust their hight through the customizing options but they will always stretch over the whole width of the site. That makes them look very weird. Is there something I have missed?

That will mainly depend on the overall width of the images you are using – if they are small in width to start with then they will stretch and look odd.

If you are going to use the slider setting then the ideal width of the images should be 1380px or wider.

Also note that as we are resizing the images with some of the settings you might need to run the regenerate thumbnail script to re-crop the images.

Zulfikar, thank you so far. My images are all uploaded with 1000px width so that is probably the reason. I guess I would have to upload exactly fitting images for the featured posts, right? With the 1380px width and whatever hight I define in the theme settings.

For best results yes, that would be correct.

Have you tried the regenerate thumbnail plugin to see if that would crop them up for you?

That wouldn’t help in this case as my images have all been uploaded with 1000px width only. However, thanks for clarifying this. I will mark the thread as resolved and move over to my translation attempts ??
