Featured page thumbnails disappear with mobile use

  • How come? Sometimes a few thumbnails (featured pages/front page) disappear suddenly when I try to view my website on mobile phone. Not only some thumbnails disappear, but also the picture in the banner/slider.

    More technical information concerning my frontpage:

    – 16 thumbnails/featured pages
    – 700 x 700 pix per thumbnail (for high resolution)
    – 2 pictures in banner/slider, each like 250kb (1170×500 pix)

    What could be the problem? And how to solve?

    Could it be that the thumbnails have a too high resolution? Could this cause the problems?

    Can you share a link to your website?
    Which kind of mobile phone?
    Did you already try to disable your plugins?

    – Iphone 6, Safari
    – No, which plugins should I try to disable, all of them?

    I went on your site with my smartphone lg 4x hd
    and I can see the featured page thumbnails.
    You can try disable all your plugins, and clean your zen-cache’s cache, and see if it still occurs, then re-activate them one by one.
    You can also try to disable the retina option under the Images settings.

    Did all of the thumbnails show up? Because sometimes, just 2 are missing out of 16 for instance.
    Could the retina option or high resolution cause the problems?
    Furthermore, the banner is sometimes blank on mobile, do you have a clue how come?

    Yes I could see all the featured images (12) and the logo too.
    Not sure why it’s happening that to you.
    My smartphones is hd so I’m seeing retina’s versions.
    I have any clue on the banner though.
