Featured page shows shortcode/javascript

  • On the home page, in the first featured page section, a shortcode appears in the text that is taken from that page. I can’t figure out how to get it to not appear. I’ve tried putting in more text, but that hasn’t worked and I don’t want more text there anyway. My site is inspiredreamsfoundation.org. TIA

  • Try using a manual excerpt instead of letting the theme create an automatic one, which doesn’t support the shortcode functionality.

    Below the post editor you’ll see a field for entering an excerpt. If you don’t, open the Screen Options tab at the top right and be sure “Excerpt” is checked off.

    In your manual excerpt, do not include the shortcode.
