• Hi, First of all thank you for this amazing plugin.

So I am managing a woocommerce with a lot of images, and adding a product is a real pain (even with category classification).

I was wondering if it would be possible to implement an option (on the media uploader/chooser when uploading a featured image) to show/hide images that are already “Featured in” [ex: (product 2947), CONVERSE ALL STAR], that’s say, already used as feature image in another woo commerce product.

This would ease a lot productivity.

    Have a great day !

Thanks for the good words, for your interest in the plugin, and for this suggestion. I can imagine adding something like this to the first dropdown box on the “Insert Media” or “Add Featured Image” tabs of the Media Manager modal popup window. Instead of just “Images” and “Uploaded to this post” you would have “Featured” and “Not Featured” as additional choices. Is that the kind of thing you’re asking for? If not, give me more details of what you imagine.

I will add that to my list of future enhancement possibilities. In the interim, you might consider a manual method using the category/tag dropdown box. You could add two additional terms, such as “featured/not featured” to whatever taxonomy you’re using to classify the images. You could filter the Media/Assistant table listing on those terms and use the bulk edit area to maintain the information. Not a great solution, but it might help.

If I add anything in a future version that addresses this idea I will post an update to this topic. Thanks again for suggesting it.

    First paragraph: Yes!
    Second Paragraph: I’ll try that.

Also, same but on the Media Assistant you provide, it may be useful to allow ordering/filtering the “Featured in” column. After, Im talking from a woocommerce user pov.

    Thank you David ??

2 other suggestions that would improve my life (and I hope the one of others)

    – Be able to automatically rename (or not?) picture/media names when renaming the slug/alt text.
    – for Woocomerce 2.0, take in count the pictures as “Featured” not only in the “Featured Image” box (id=”set-post-thumbnail”) but also in the “Product Gallery” box (id=”woocommerce-product-images” / id=”product_images_container”).

    Voila, good day!
