Featured images will not hide on posts WP version 4.4.2

Seems this issue is resolved.

@laniergraphics has opened new issue so resolving this.

I am still having an issue with the featured image not hiding on posts. For me, this issue has not been resolved. I appreciate your support with helping me resolve this issue.
