• I just deleted a few inactive plug-ins, as well as enabled a few more optimizing options in W3 Total Cache (and cleared all the caches after), and suddenly the featured images for each blog post on my blog home page are tiny. Help!

    Here’s the page: https://deonnekahler.com/blog/

I haven’t changed anything in terms of image sizing, so I’m assuming it’s a plug-in issue. Thanks for the help!

Disable the Photon module in Jetpack and see if that fixes it.

Thanks for the speedy response – and that worked! On a side note regarding Jetpack, do you recommend using all their features in the free version? I’d love to get rid of a few more plug-ins and I think I have some duplicates. My site is incredibly slow – Hostgator tried to tell me it’s my ISP, which is ridiculous since I have fiber optic and every other site I visit (other than mine) loads super fast. They also said it might be an optimization issue. If this is beyond the scope of this thread, I totally understand and just appreciate the help with the featured image problem. ??

P.S. I forgot to say I get the “connection lost” error a lot when I’m working on a post. Incredibly frustrating and I’d love to fix it.

There are a zillion javascript files that are loaded when I load your site. Ads? Videos? I’m not sure.

Yikes. I don’t have any ads or videos on this site. Is there a diagnostic tool I can use to find them and get rid of them? Is one of my plugins using them? I have the following active plugins: akisment, commentluv, google xml sitemaps, insert headers and footers, jetpack, nextgen gallery, nextgen pro, seo by squirrly, seo images optimizer by weblizer, simple social icons, social warfare, thrive leads, thrive quiz, thrive visual editor, and w3 total cache.

Obviously, I’m not wildly tech savvy, ha.

Aha! I just remembered I have six videos on my site from a couple years ago. They were there via the Leadplayer plug-in, which I’d deleted. So now all those six posts have are a defunct link and no video. Is that still the problem?
