Featured images not showing on my homepage

FTP into your wp-content/uploads directory and make sure your uploads were moved along with the site installation. You might also need to make sure your permalinks for those images are pointing to the current domain (might be a problem with DNS settings?

Thanks dauidus, for your quick response. I actually added the added my uploads to the wp-content folder but don’t know how to verify now if it contains the file that is supposed to contain the images. I have contacted the support staff of my new host to look into it.

Are you getting the infamous ‘could not load image’ box thing? Easy way to check… inspect the element in your browser and see if the image is trying to load from somewhere else.

You may also have to check your permalink/media upload structure. Make sure the option to organize uploads into month/year folders matches your last configuration.

Let me ask – is this problem just happening on your homepage, as you mention? Or, is it happening everywhere?
