Featured images not showing in Google News

    We are using the plugin and until recently, had no issue. Now, Google news is pulling images from the content not the featured image. Images are pulling properly in Mailchimp but not the feeds in Google News.

    Hi @nephilim777 I see what you mean, the raw feed is def showing the featured image, and so I think Google News has made a change of some sort in how they are pulling or selecting images to use, and we don’t have any control over that.

    For your most recent post, in Google News the Latest Posts is showing the same featured images ok… but for the News section, it isn’t even using the body image, it’s using your newsletter signup form image at the bottom of the page, for some reason.

    I believe the Latest Posts section is using RSS, but the News section is doing it differently.

    You could try using free trial of the premium version to see if the Media or Enclosure tag helps, but I’m not too sure it will.

    I wish I could be of more help, the Latest Posts section has the correct images it seems, and our plugin is working well for that.
