Featured images not displayed in list view

    Hi, I’m back ??

    Still loving this plugin, always a treat to work with.

    But I have just discovered an issue that I am clueless to solve: the featured images for my events (Utst?llningar), does not show on the event page:

    When I inspect I see this:

    So… why is there a “data:image/…” there? Is that supposed to be there?

    I’m really scratching my head here. I have disabled plugins with “possibility” for conflict. And tried to remove all my custom CSS. No change – featured image will not be displayed.

    I hope you can shed some light on this… thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    Strange, there’s BASE64 encoding at your site. This is not something my plugins does by itself. Guess your using a plugin that causes this. A gallery or performance plugin maybe? Or maybe even your theme? But I do notice not all images at your site have this kind of encoding.

    Hmm yes, I can try deactivate more plugins to see if there is conflict. Strange though that it is only the featured images for the VSEL plugin (on event page, not single page – they are working fine) that is affected.

    I’ll get back to you when I checked all possible plugins.

    Okay, not sure that I actually found the problem plugin (if any), but I noticed that when I deactivated “Permalink manager”, my event page changed to the default event page your plugin creates:

    And there the featured images are working fine.

    I did however clone the event page I created (with the help of your shortcode magic: [vsel event_cat=”utstallningar” order=”desc” no_events_text=”Just nu har vi inga kommande utst?llningar.”]) to this URL:

    https://in.sinkadus.com/utstallningar-temp/

    And there, it is still not working. So the permalink manager was not the problem, but maybe there is a clue in here, why are the featured images working on the default page?

    I have the permalink managaer inactivated now, so you can view this yourself.

    So sorry for wasting your time!! it was my theme that had a setting for lazy loading of images. I deactivated this, and now it is working fine.

    Really sorry. And again, amazing support. You actually helped, even though it was all on me.

    Hi,

    No problemo at all!

    But it’s kind of strange that only VSEL-images are having problems and not other images at your website. The VSEL-image in event list is the default featured image, but the image at single event page is handled by your theme. Lazy loading was set for ALL images or only certain images?

    It was set on all images. Throughout the site… so yes, a bit strange. Let me know if you need some details for further investigation…

    It was strange that there were no problems with other images at your site. When I inspected those images I noticed the src URL was not BASE64 encoded. So why only images of VSEL?

    Not sure at all… actually, no clue. Something about the shortcode? The VSEL images worked fine on the actual event page, a clue there?
