• Resolved Guardnet

    (@guardnet)

This has got nothing to do with the update to 3.4, as it was having the problem before I upgraded.

I have disabled all the plug-ins, also renamed the plug-ins folder to plug-ins.hold, I have checked in the upload folder and the pictures are all there, I even re-uploaded them to be on the safe side to no avail.

It seems just be be all featured images, all other images on the site are working fine, and if I edit any of the posts and check, it shows that the featured image is there, I even removed the image and chose featured image again and updated and again to no avail.

I have not done anything new for a while, not that I can think of anyway, no new plug-ins or anything, any help would be gratefully appreciated, if I had any hair I would have tore it out by now.

    Website address is: https://www.guardnet.co.uk

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by PhpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Hi Esmi

Things seems to have gone wrong, I have did everything that you had said and now it seems the site has gone down completely, all I get is the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /mnt/webj/d0/04/51376104/htdocs/news2/wp-includes/option.php on line 84

I found the file in question and it says:

[Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. The maximum number of lines of code that you can post in these forums is ten lines. Please use the pastebin]

this really is all gobbledy gook to me.

Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Did not work, same error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /mnt/webj/d0/04/51376104/htdocs/news2/wp-includes/option.php on line 84

Can you try another WordPress re-upload? But this time, follow the instructions in this Codex section.
