Featured Image works in posts, but not pages?

  • Hi there. Hoping to get some help… searched around and couldn’t seem to find the answer. I’m using the Widezine theme from ThemeForest.net and noticed that when I set the “Featured Image” for posts, it shows up just fine at the top of the post, but when I set it for pages… the featured image doesn’t appear. I went back to an out of the box WordPress site I use for testing with no plugins, themes, etc… when I tested this on that site, it did the same thing.

    Ami I missing something? You can set the featured image for a page on the right side of the edit page screen, so why wouldn’t it show up on the actual page?

    page.php might not have the code to show the featured image {post thumbnail}

    edit page.php of your theme and check for the_post_thumbnail() or similar.
    also, have a look into single.php and see where the code with the_post_thumbnail() is, and see if you can copy it over into page.php.

    you may want to ask the theme seller as well.
