Featured image won't appear as thumbnail

    I have just taken over the company website at my workplace, and I notice that the featured image of any of the new posts I make will not appear as thumbnail, even though it shows in the actual post. So all the old posts have the featured image as thumbnail, and new posts have a blank thumbnail. I didn’t upgrade, didn’t install any plugins, didn’t change the theme. (theme is Minimum and website is stahlfashion.com)
    Also, everytime I upload a new image in the media library it appears as it won’t upload, and then I get signed off. When I sign in again, the image is uploaded. I am new to WordPress and couldn’t find an answer on other forums, so I am really hoping you can help me.

  • Assuming you didn’t update WordPress and it has broke the theme.

    I’d say there is another procedure to setup thumbnails and possibly in the themes settings. Does sound a little strange. But there is the possibility something broke just before the site was handed over to you.

    Not much can be said on this amount of information and it won’t be easy for you to give more. I recommend a YouTube video of what your doing but not more than paying someone to get to the bottom of it. Spent time or money huh.

    One of your tags is “image error”, was there an actual error because that could help. Check your hosting/server Apache error log straight after creating a post with featured image. Might get lucky.
