Featured Image uploading error

  • Hello all,
    currentli i m running wordpress 4.6.1 on my localhost WAMP srvr. but i am facing some problem when i upload an image on any post or any plugin.
    its showing “”An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.””

  • What file type are you trying to upload, it may not be permitted.

    i am using JPEF file format.

    Please provide 777 permission to uploads under wp-content folder.
    That will solve your problem.

    I am getting this same error, no matter what type of file type I upload (PNG & JPG).

    I am able to upload directly to the media gallery, but my media gallery does not load when I try to set a featured image for my post.

    Error started occurring when I updated my WordPress. I have even re-installed the latest version again.

    I have set my Upload folder permission to 777 and it has not helped.

    Any additional suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Does the same thing happen if you’re using the default theme, or with all of your plugins de-activated?
