The moderator in the “Fixing WordPress” forum suggested I post this problem here.

Using WP 2024 theme, I moved the featured image block from the content area of the “Pages” template to the default header because I like to have a different header image on each page, which I accomplish by enabling the featured image option in the page editor of each page. I noticed, however, that when I open the template in the site editor (either the “Pages” template or the default header “template part”) to style the featured image block, the ellipsis (the 3 dots) next to the highlighted block’s name and the toolbar are missing. I come back later and they reappear. Is this a bug?

Hi @bigfatty – that definitely sounds a little odd. Are you finding this only happens in the Twenty Twenty Four theme? Or does it happen with other block themes (like Twenty Twenty Three) as well?

If possible – could you please take a screenshot, or video of the behaviour in the editor and share it here?

If you go to https://snipboard.io/ you can upload the screenshot there and it will provide a URL to use in the comment.

I think I may have been mistaken about the above behavior because I cannot replicate it. However, thank you for your assistance.
