Featured Image thumbnails are constantly zoomed in

  • Hey, I’m having a really hard time with the featured images on my site. The featured image, above the post, is always zoomed in on the image.

    Is there a way to set a custom image size that shows whatever size image you upload? Or at least a way to stop the zoomed in effect?
    Is it a setting on WordPress that I’m messing up?

    I’d really appreciate any advice anyone might have.
    I’ll attach a link for reference.

    Customizer –> Content: home, posts –> Single post

    This has solved it for me.

    Hi Failmuch, let me know if wph4’s solution works!
    I was having the same problem before I crashed my functions.php file.
    If I’m able to get my site working again I will try that one!

    Hi WPH4.

    The only options in that menu are for the thumbnail position and the max height of the thumbnail. The picture is still zoomed in no matter what height I choose. Thanks for the suggestion though! Is there any other way around this or do other people have a similar problem like LAdydreamer?

    I am afraid my knowledge is not enough to help further. What I would try is to work some CSS to get images the way I want.
    I do hope someone else has a solution for you. Actually I am not using this feature for my posts.

    When I have problems with my functions.php I get it via FTP and have a look to that specific line the error code mentioned. It is almost always the last change you have made the one with problem. Sometimes a copy and paste problem, in my case ??
