Featured Image thumbnail

  • When I add a featured image on the main posts page it displays as a thumbnail – I want it to display as a banner above the title. The image is designed to fit in my default page.

    I have tried setting the image via preferences but all I get is a square image instead of the banner.

    USE or Not Emphasis of new content using the Featured Image

    set yes

    If you select yes, detailed setting items are displayed

    Featured Image Size
    select Large

    Thanks for the prompt assistance. As it turns out, the issue was caused by the website caching plugin I was using. Once I disabled that, everything started working correctly.

    What does the “Featured Image Special Layout Apply Post Count” setting do?

    I have almost got it beat, however the header images break on my page after 5 images. Any ideas what may be happening?

    max value is Reading Settings / Blog pages show at most

    post count.
