Featured image stopped working for no reason.

  • For a week now i have a problem with the featured image function not working anymore. I can click the featured image box, and can upload the image. all seems well, but when i want to set the image by clicking ” Use as featured image” it shows saving… but cant seem to finish. nothing happens. Weird, because it has been working flawlessly, and stopped working overnight.

    Nothing at all had changed on the server, and wordpress when it happened.

    I must of looked at hundreds of forum posts about this, but no solution till date. I also think i covered all the basics.
    Disabled all plugins. i reset the plugins folder, checked the server rights. restored a backup from when all was ok… and so on. but no go. I also noticed this goes together with being not able to insert a image using the media manager.it seems to work, but never actually puts the image in the post.

    I cant get my head arround this. Has anyone experianced something simular?

    By any chance have you figured out the issue with this? I have the same problem as well. I’m on WordPress 3.4.2
