Featured Image size option not showing up

  • I’m not sure if why this is happening to version 3.5.1 but when I try to add a featured image, in the attachment details I no longer have the option to pick what size I want on the right. Is this happening to anyone else? I seem to be only allowed to use the full size image as the featured image. The thumbnails are being created when I look at the backend. This is a brand new installation with no plugins.

    I did notice 3.5.1 has a new UI compared to 3.4, so maybe I’m missing something here?

  • i am having the same problem and i just started using WordPress 3.6. It’s my first time creating a theme from scratch so i’m pretty lost. I was wondering where the option for the featured image size was? My problem sounds very much the like yours “zhiwan”, glad I’m not the only one who is having difficulties with this.

    They took out that option it seems and you need to add the thumbnail yourself, which is a hassle. For my purposes though, I use the Auto Post Thumbnail plugin, which automates the process for the most part. I just have to make sure that I have the correct pixel size set in the admin.
