• Hi there.
I am trying to do a few things with the featured image, and I have tried looking up how to do them including what to change/add in the CSS but my question is too specific for me to find an appropriate answer. I hope you can help.

I want to have the featured image in my post display small on the homepage excerpt, but large (full size) in the blog post.

As well, I want the position of the featured image to be beneath the blog post’s title rather than above it.

Is there any way I can do this easily? I have already added the Simple Image Sizes plug-in, allowing me to change the size of the featured image – but this also changes the size in the blog post itself.

    Thanks!
    Renee

  • Greetings,

Unless you have a fully customizable theme I do not think what you are seeking can be accomplished easily, as in with a two clicks and your done. You may have to get under the hood and tinker with the CSS and HTML of the homepage, and of your blog posts. If you’re looking for a resource for learning CSS I recommend w3schools.com. Otherwise, I recommend asking at your theme developers supportforum so the plugin’s/theme’s developers and support community can help you with this. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I’ve asked in the theme’s support forum.
