It seems like the featured image size and alignment has been altered after updating to WordPress 5.3 using the Tracks theme. In the past, the full size image (typically 1200×800) would be set to “full size” and the image and caption would automatically be set to center alignment. Now the image is set to “thumbnail” which reduces the size of the image and changes the caption to left alignment.

Any way I can revert to full size images and center alignment without fixing each post?

    Thanks for your assistance.

  • If it is truly the featured image, that means the theme changed something and there is nothing to “fix” in each post. You should ask in the theme’s support forum.

If it is instead an image in each post, there is a remote chance that the WP 5.3 image handling changes affected it, but it would be more likely to be a plugin.

    Hi there,

I think you may go to the support forum of the theme author. I hope they will help you.

Okay, thanks for the help. I disabled all plugins to see if it changed anything, but no such luck. The theme hasn’t been updated recently so I don’t believe the theme changed anything. I will keep digging for solutions.

I will try to contact the theme author just in case.
