FEATURED IMAGE SHOWING UP ON POST

  • I thought the featured image was just for thumb nails and widgets, but my image is showing twice, as I have uploaded te same image in post…

    Why is this happening?

    Nope.

    The Featured Image can be used wherever your theme’s developer fancies it should be used.

    Some themes have an option to enable/disable the display of the featured image on single posts/pages. Check your theme’s settings and see if you have such an option.

    If your theme doesn’t have such an option, you may contact the developer for directions… or share your site’s URL so I can show you how to hide it in CSS (as a last resort).

    Hi, Thanks..

    I just did a quick G search, I went on PAGE and deleted feature image..

    I was thinking of posts, where a feature image would show on the widget like feed or home page, but with a PAGE that is not so is it…

    So, now it is how I wanted it ??

    While on the topic, is IMAGE SEO quite important? And I belive wordpress has done away with META TAGS now yes? So it’s just a case of META DESCRIPTIONS?
