Featured Image Option now showing

@coths Just to be certain, have you checked your screen options at the top right corner of the editor screen to confirm that the metabox is still set to show?

Regarding the footer disappearing, the best guess I can offer at the moment is that possibly some sort of php error is occurring towards the end of the page, and it’s preventing the rest of the theme markup from getting displayed.

Yes I check it all, based on other comments I found.

Now installing other themes to see if it makes a difference.

For what it’s worth, the theme will dictate how the featured images are shown, but very likely won’t dictate if the metabox is set to show for your user or if a post has featured images set.

CPTUI would handle the setting up if the post type should support featured images.

Yep – get that. It’s just that the option isn’t available in new post format to submit a featured image at all.

I have rolled back a day, to see what is going on.

Not really comfortable to give my admin details here to show you what I mean – where can I post it to ask for assistance in checking what’s going on?

If I have to change themes, I need to do so in the next 24 hours.

@sunil0eci “i am using wordpress 5.2.1 where i am not able to see screen options.” that is likely because you have the Gutenberg-style editor available and in use, and there’s still an options section to toggle things. Look for the 3 vertical dots and I believe that should pull up a context menu with “options” or similar.

Have you tried any of the other steps mentioned above to try and get things working again? If possible, are you able to temporarily switch themes to see if something from that area of the site is affecting anything?
