Featured Image Option Disappeared

  • Please help

    The Featured Image option disappeared. Theme hasn’t changed – just the recent updates and I JUST noticed it when I went to post. In fact, I’m using the same theme on more than one site, and the Featured Image option only disappeared on ONE site.

    Go to post edit and please check the Screen options at the RHS top of the page and see whether the featured image check-box is checked or not.If not please check so that you are able to see the featured image box.

    Thank you Clarion, that option was not displaying at all – it couldn’t BE clicked as it wasn’t there – and as I’d said, it WAS on another site with the same theme.

    I did however find it, though I don’t understand how it could have happened. In theme functions a line of code was missing that allows the function to display on the post options.

    “add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’ );”
