featured image on homepage, Ive tried everything!

I have themify base and I am trying to figure out how to get a featured image on my homepage. I am fairly new to wordpress so I am not familiar with CSS and I don’t even have a child theme yet.

here is thow the featured image always displays on my home page: https://www.ledinlove.com/

I don’t know why it displays at the top and I want it to be next to the post instead and not at all at the top.

p.s. ive searched for a week and cant find any posts to help with this.
