Featured Image on home page

    The theme is great, I used it for my latest website, a collection of wishes and quotes wishesquotes.com. How can I change the size of the featured images on home page and in any category archives ? I want to use a re-sized image rather than one part of the image that is visible right now.

    On the front page of the theme, there is a “featured” area for text. How do I put text there?
