Featured Image not working on Post

  • I just upgraded to 5.6 and the featured images no longer work. I am trying to add a featured image to a post. When I click on Set Featured Image, an overlay pops up and it’s completely blank. I can still add images to the Media Library, but cannot choose an image for the featured image because there are no images shown to choose from.

    When I click on the Set Featured Image button I see this error in the console:

    Any ideas? I cannot make a post unless I can add a featured image.

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
