Featured Image not showing when sharing to facebook

    Hello Jetpack guys and gals.

    Since a couple of weeks ago, I started using Publicize to Facebook and when the post/article is shared, the featured image of the post doesn’t show at all, instead, there is a blank square.

    Following the instructions on “experiencing-issues-with-publicize-and-facebook” the Open Graph Object Debugger doesn’t seem find any errors, but I can see the blank image in “og:image”

    The url I tested was this one: https://www.melifera.cl/main/review-natural-distance-rockaxis/

    I’m using a child theme of twenty-twelve and the activated plugins are these:

    • FancyBox for WordPress
    • Grid Columns
    • Jetpack by WordPress.com
    • Meteor Slides
    • Regenerate Thumbnails
    • Spotify Follow Widget
    • YouTube SimpleGallery

    The inactive plug-ins are these:

    • Akismet
    • Fourteen Colors
    • Hello Dolly
    • Jquery Page FadeIn Effect
    • Styles
    • Styles: TwentyFourteen
    • Velvet Blues Update URLs

    The featured image size is: 400 × 167px and a previous one from previous post was: 391 × 86

    If the image size is a problem (I think facebook needs 200×200), is there a way to fix the shared post?

    I don’t now how to fix this, so if you can help me, I will be really grateful.

    Hi!

    That’s right, Facebook needs images that are at least 200px by 200px, and in fact, the suggest images that are at least 1200px by 630px.

    Have a look ath this post though, this may help you:

    With that, you can supply a default image if no suitable image is found. Still though, you are much better off including an image that is at least 200px by 200px.

    I tried the code from the link, but it didn’t work at all.

    Where it said ‘YOUR_LOGO_IMG_URL’ I put this url:

    'https://www.melifera.cl/main/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/disco.jpg'

    For the next news post on my site, I’ll try to include a bigger featured image.
