    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Featured Images appear to be displayed properly on my end:

Could you give me more details about the issue on your site? Are there specific images that seem to be missing?

Fascinating…perhaps it just took Jetpack some time to “catch up” with the configuration? Right now the only images that are featured are the first 3 of the first three blog posts on my home page.
    (good, bad, ugly)
    (how to handle…do you work)
    (about the choices..)

The rest are directly in the post. I’ll continue to move all of them to the featured image space. Hopefully all goes well.

    Thank you, Jeremy.

That should indeed do the trick!

okay…so the images are indeed showing up on mobile, but they DONT show up in the actual body of the post on mobile. I would really like it to, as it looks like a dry, lengthy, wordy post without an image.

My second concern is that now that I have all of my images as featured images, I’m no longer able to pin the post to Pinterest from the image. I swear, I was able to do this yesterday when I was changing all of my old images over to new images!
(Huge image overhaul, recreating new ones that are compatible on Pinterest, Twitter, FB)

    Can you help? Thanks.

Since you’ve removed the images from the post content, they indeed don’t appear in the body of the post anymore.

Would you like the images to appear both in the Featured Image area and in the post content? If so, you’ll need to edit your posts and add the images back.

My second concern is that now that I have all of my images as featured images, I’m no longer able to pin the post to Pinterest from the image.

That option will only be available for images inside the post content.

    (sigh)
If I add the images back (which I’m not opposed to), what are the downfalls?

Thank you, Jeremy. Your time and expertise is truly appreciated. ??

There is no downfall. ?? It might just look a bit weird to have twice the same image on posts when you don’t have too much content.

It would, for sure. I just want the one image.
Someone suggested I make the images featured so that when my blog posts are shared, the image I created specifically for the post appears )as opposed to any other images on my site or in the same post). However, I typically don’t have a second image and if I do, the primary image still shows up — at least when I share it.

I guess I thought not using the featured images was a sin in blogging! I’m just trying to determine what I think works best.

I shall ponder further. Thanks again, Signing off. ??

That makes sense, but as you mentioned it’s less important if you usually only insert one image per post.

That’s not a sin, but definitely something you should consider based on your theme, and how you want your site to look like. I personally like the look of the featured images on your site and in Jetpack’s Mobile Theme, but that’s just me. Feel free to experiment! ??

Why, thank you! That makes me feel better.
    Thanks again!
