Featured Image not showing on Post or Page

  • On previous versions of WordPress, when we added a Featured Image to a page or post, it would show at the top of the page or post. Now it just shows as a thumbnail in the blogroll (such as homepage or category).

    I noticed the Twenty Twelve and Twenty Thirteen themes do this, but the Twenty Fourteen theme does not. Why? That was useful, and we want that, or at least the option to turn it on and off.

    We’re now using the Evolve theme, which has it disabled, with no option to enable it. Is there any way to enable it without editing the theme code?
