Featured Image Not Displaying in Full Size

    Hello,

    I recently went to upload a new page to our website and would like to resolve an issue with the display size of the page’s “featured image”. The featured image is showing up as a thumbnail size rather than the “full (980x450px)” size. (I have selected the “full (980x450px)” size option under the “Layout” options for the page; still the featured image displays thumbnail size.

    All of my previously existing pages display the featured image full size as we’d like. If someone could please help me in determining the cause of the featured image not displaying in full, I’d greatly appreciate it!

    There is a link attached to one of our pages with the featured image displaying in full as we’d like. If needed, I can follow up with a link to a page with what I’m describing.

    Note:
    – All of my images are pre-sized before importing into WordPress to within a 1024 x 1024px size.
    – There are currently no “live” pages on our website displaying what I’m explaining, as I realized the issue when viewing the preview of the new page to be added and did not post it.

    Hey @speccar, can you take a screenshot of what your featured image section looks like in your admin, and put it up either on your site or on something like https://imgur.com/ for us to see? It sounds like you’re using a theme or a plugin which deviates from the default WordPress featured image experience, which doesn’t include any layout options.

    Mel, thank you in advance! And yes, I am using a theme called dePosito by ThemeShift.

    Ah yeah, that definitely looks like it’s coming from your theme.

    It looks like ThemeShift has deprecated dePosito: https://themeshift.com/wordpress-themes/deposito/. It’s possible something broke with a recent WordPress update since it’s not being maintained.

    I’d get in contact with the ThemeShift team and see if they can help you out. There might be a customer help portal on their site behind the login: https://themeshift.com/my-account/. It also looks like they have an email for questions: [email protected]

    Hope they’re able to resolve this for you! If not, maybe a developer here could figure out how to fix it.

    I’ll try contacting Themeshift again, as I reached out to them also because I wasn’t sure if it was a WordPress or ThemeShift issue.
