• I’ve been using Video Thumbnails for a while on my sites, and have recently switched to the Hestia theme to improve my site appearance. I notice that the theme isn’t picking up the Video Thumbnail and using it as the featured image in the post header automatically. I’ve also noticed that Yoast SEO isn’t generating an og:image tag referencing the video thumbnail in the <HEAD> section of the page.

I was under the impression that the featured image should be set automatically when a video thumbnail is detected, without me having to manually set the Featured Image in the post editor. Is that the case?

    Thanks,
    Graham

  • Yes, the featured image is used on frontend but it’s not visible in backend.

Thanks for your reply; but I’m still not sure how to automatically get the Featured Image set to the Video Thumbnail… which I thought was the point of the Video Thumbnails plugin.

I confirm the situation and agree with you Graham – I don’t know too, waiting for answer like you…

Thanks plastique; it’s nice to know it’s not just me going crazy.

    Is this plugin still supported?
