Featured Image not assigning

    Hello,

    The email to post is working as expected but with one issue — the image added isn’t assigned as featured image.

    Make sure the setting Use First Image as Featured Image is enabled.

    Also note this only works with image attachments.

    For images that are hosted on another server you need to use an addon. https://postieplugin.com/downloads/remote-featured-image/

    Hi, I have the same issue. And I have Use First Image as Featured Image enabled. I have also disabled the Include Featured Image in Post option.
    I am sending images as attachments to my postie gmail address via my personal gmail account. All images are appearing in the posts, but the first image is not set to featured,
    I use Optimole which takes incoming images, reprocesses them and changes the url to its own, eg
    <img data-opt-src=”https://mlsn7xtiqrsk.i.optimole.com/cb:OJLO~6d62/w:800/h:360/q:mauto/https://www.mysite.com

    Will the plugin you reference fix this issue?

    I don’t know as I am not familiar with Optimole. I’m happy to offer a refund if it doesn’t work.

    I have the same problem. I have Use First Image as Featured Image enabled (and Include Featured Image in Post disabeld).
    I am sending images as attachments from my gmail address. Everything works perfectly, except the first image is not set as featured image.

    I’ve tried various things (disabling other plugins, checking mail and WordPress settings etc), but nothing seems to solve the problem. Is there anything I have overlooked?

    Sometimes there are small blank images added to emails that Postie picks up as the first image.

    To be certain please install the support addon then follow the instructions on how to send me detailed logs.

    Have a small issue… “featured image” is not working. However, the image does properly appear in the post.

    First Image as Featured Image?is enabled

    Include Featured Image in Post is enabled.

    Images attachments are from a gmail address.

    Using in conjunction with plugin Jetpack Social, in order to replicate the post on our Facebook page.
