Featured Image No longer supported?

    Hi,

    Since upgrading to 5.9 it seems that I cannot select a featured image. This means that when someone shares the post to Facebook, for example, the og:image is taken as the website standard image and not any image from the listing.

    Is this normal. It seems like a step in the wrong direction to me..

    Sorry for any confusion about this.

    You can set the featured image on the images tab in the listing. There are now grab bars where you can move the placement of the images, and the featured image will be identified as the Thumbnail image. You must save your changes in order for this to take effect.

    Hi,

    The image that is identified as the thumbnail image is not a featured image in that it does not override the main og:image as produced by the Yoast plugin.

    This means that while it is the main thumbnail for the listing it does not appear when you share the post to Facebook.

    Or I am doing something wrong?

    Sorry that this is still a problem. I’m not seeing the issue when I try to share to Facebook — the listing thumbnail is what is shown when I do that.

    We would like to troubleshoot this issue with you further.
