I am attempting to use My Curator free version to get a feel for workflow before I subscribe to the full version. At this point I am just getting used to the interface and want to start manually populating posts so I can show some friends the site.
Unfortunately, when I am setting up a post, the image will not save, so I can not see what it will look like on the main page. Obviously this is problematic.
    Thanks in advance.

MyCurator needs the switch allow_url_fopen On in PHP.ini – contact your host to check this. If it isn’t on, we can’t capture images from websites and save them to your post.

The ISP says the allow_url_fopen is on.
I can see it is so in the configuration page.
The ISP thinks there may be a conflict with the theme but I have no way of knowing.

The way to test that is to deactivate your current theme and activate one of the standard WordPress themes like WordPress 2017. Then see if images can be saved.

When you say the image will not save, do you mean in the Post editor if you click on an image in the Saved Page of the original article and try to save it as the featured image or insert it? Do you see any images in your Training Posts list, little thumbnails?

Yes it was in the post editor exactly as you describe. I do not think have the training system set up yet. I will try to disable the theme now and see if that makes a difference.
The Theme is ColorMag – it’s a free theme downloaded from www.remarpro.com.

    Thanks,

I disabled the ColorMag theme and tried TwentySeventeen, TwentyFifteen and Gridbox (they were all free and ready to go).
The click on image to add to the post does not work. Not featured image or on thumbnail image. I get the error: Error – Could not save image.
If I drag the image into the top text window (in the post editor) the image will show up on the post page but not as a thumbnail in the post description, only in the body of the post.
    I hope this makes sense.
The theme is currently on Gridbox.
    Thanks,

Is the problem with posts from a specific website or is it happening for a bunch of posts from many different sites?

It is all of my posts that I have added using GrabIt. I want them to look like the demo posts included with MyCurator, but the closest I can get is to have them inline with the text.

Go to the Logs menu item in MyCurator and choose Error from the drop down named Articles and click the Select Filter button and see if you have any error messages about images.

Sure do! Strange, the error is saying invalid file type but they are all jpg with one or two png.

PHP version 5.4 seemed to be having problems with images, upgrading to 5.6 solved the image problem.
